Bond yields trade lower on Tuesday

The yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 1 basis point lower at 6.82% from its previous close of 6.83% on Monday

Bond yields traded lower on Tuesday as the HSBC Flash India Manufacturing PMI declined from 56.9 in February to a four-and-a-half-year low of 53.8 in March, while HSBC Flash India Services PMI Business Activity Index fell to 57.2 in March from February’s final reading of 58.1. 

In the global market, 10-year Treasury note yield fell on Monday as US President Donald Trump instructed the Department of Defence to postpone all military strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for five days.

Back home, the yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 1 basis point lower at 6.82% from its previous close of 6.83% on Monday.  

The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 7 basis points higher at 6.58% from its previous close of 6.51% on Monday.
