Bond yields trade higher on Friday
The yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 4 basis points higher at 6.76% from its previous close of 6.72% on Wednesday
Bond yields traded higher on Friday as chief general manager in RBI's Foreign Exchange Department N Senthil Kumar has said that Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is working on providing various avenues for the usage of Indian rupee (INR) accumulated by the Russian trade counterparts.
In the global market, 2-year Treasury yield rose on Thursday after new labor market data and as inflation fears linked to the U.S.-Iran war continued to sour sentiment.
Back home, the yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 4 basis points higher at 6.76% from its previous close of 6.72% on Wednesday.
The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 5 basis points higher at 6.46% from its previous close of 6.41% on Wednesday.
