Gravita India soars on expanding recycling capacity at Mundra facility, Gujarat

Gravita India is currently trading at Rs. 1648.75, up by 54.65 points or 3.43% from its previous closing of Rs. 1594.10 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 1600.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1655.85 and Rs. 1600.00 respectively. So far 4809 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2169.90 on 19-May-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1435.00 on 03-Mar-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1665.00 and Rs. 1565.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 12188.36 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.88%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.45% and 23.65% respectively.
Gravita India has increased capacity of its existing recycling unit situated at Mundra, Gujarat (Facility). The existing capacity of said unit for Lead recycling has been increased by 80,300 MTPA and as on date after the expansion the total capacity of this unit for Lead recycling will be 1,45,100 MTPA.
The company has made an investment of around Rs 49 crore for procurement and commissioning of the said recycling plant which is invested from internal accruals of the company. This capacity enhancement aligns with the company’s long-term strategy to strengthen its recycling capabilities and meet growing domestic and international demand for sustainable lead products.
The expanded capacity will enable the company to improve operational efficiencies, optimize logistics, and better serve key export markets. The Mundra plant’s strategic proximity to the port continues to provide significant advantages in sourcing raw materials and serving global customers. This expansion reinforces its commitment to circular economy principles while strengthening its ability to meet increasing demand for high-quality recycled lead in a responsible and sustainable manner.
