HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra and Eicher Motors to see some action today

Coal India has received Letter of Award from Gridco, Odisha

HCL Technologies (HCLTech) has expanded its Cornerstone Partnership with MetLife Stadium, including its new designation as an Official AI Partner to the Stadium, the New York Giants and the New York Jets. Building on its designation as the Official Digital Transformation Partner of MetLife Stadium in September 2022, the partnership now enters its next phase, with HCLTech exploring the integration of its AI-led capabilities to create intelligent, scalable solutions that enhance customer experiences and support smarter, safer, and more connected environments.

Tech Mahindra has acquired Avant Techno Solutions (Alluri Technologies Inc), a Canada based firm specializing in payments modernization and wealth platforms. The acquisition is expected to further strengthen Tech Mahindra’s service capabilities and deepen its industry expertise within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) vertical. 

Eicher Motors’ motorcycle division (Royal Enfield) has posted monthly sales of 1,13,164 units in April 2026, a 31% growth over 86,559 units sold in the same period last year. The company’s sales of models with engine capacity upto 350 cc increased by 34% at 99,703 units in April 2026 as against 74,282 units in the same period year ago. Besides, the sales of its Models with engine capacity exceeding 350 cc grew by 10% at 13,461 units in April 2026 as against 12,277 units in April last year.

Coal India has received Letter of Award (LoA) from Gridco, Odisha, for setting up of 320 MWh (80 MW for 4 hours) Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Plant in two Clusters. Cluster-1 at Padampur and Bolangir at Rs 3.04 lakh/ MW/Month tariff. Cluster-2 at Bhatli and Basta at Rs 3.05 lakh/ MW/Month tariff. The estimated project cost is Rs 400 crore. The said order is to be executed within 18 months from signing of BESPA (Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement).

Aurobindo Pharma’s wholly owned subsidiary -- CuraTeQ Biologics has received Notice of Compliance (NOC) from Health Canada’s Biologics and Radiopharmaceutical Drugs Directorate (BRDD) for Bevqolva, its bevacizumab biosimilar. Health Canada issues an NOC after a successful review, granting formal marketing authorization to the biosimilar by confirming it meets regulatory standards for safety, efficacy, and quality - comparable to the reference biologic drug under the Food and Drug Regulations.

Zydus Lifesciences’ indirect wholly owned subsidiary -- Amplitude SAS (Amplitude) has acquired 100% share capital of FBC Medical, France, a simplified joint stock.  The acquisition is intended to internalize commercial capabilities currently outsourced to third-party sales agents. By acquiring and integrating the FBC Medical, Amplitude expects to eliminate ongoing commission and business-development fees, thereby reducing long-term selling and distribution costs. The cost of the said acquisition is 700,000 euro.

InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) has commenced direct flights between Chennai and Reunion Island, a French overseas territory in the Indian Ocean, on April 29 2026. The thrice weekly service between the two airports is being operated using the airline’s Airbus A320 aircraft. The island is known for its towering volcanic peaks, lush rainforests, cascading waterfalls, and pristine beaches - all within short driving distances of each other.
