India’s outward FDI commitments see 27% surge in March: RBI Data
In February 2026, OFDI commitments stood at $2965.77 million
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in its latest report has showed that India's outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) commitments surged by 27.47% to $7061.60 million in March 2026 as against $5,539.75 million in March 2025. In February 2026, OFDI commitments stood at $2965.77 million.
According to the report, equity commitments decreased 43.14% to $1457.89 million in March 2026, from $2,563.89 million in March 2025. However, they were 27.17% higher than $1146.38 million equity commitments recorded in February 2026.
The report further noted that loan commitments stood at $691.95 million in March 2026, 54.56% down from $1,522.88 million in March 2025. Guarantees issued increased sharply by 238.04% to $4911.76 million in March 2026 from $1,452.99 million in March 2025.
