Apollo Micro Systems zooms on securing arms manufacture license from Indian Govt

The license authorises the company to manufacture, assemble, integrate, and proof-test the high-value strategic weapon systems and munitions

Apollo Micro Systems is currently trading at Rs. 283.10, up by 40.80 points or 16.84% from its previous closing of Rs. 242.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 244.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 287.45 and Rs. 244.00 respectively. So far 1952677 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52-week high of Rs. 354.65 on 17-Sep-2025 and a 52-week low of Rs. 110.60 on 28-Apr-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 287.45 and Rs. 227.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 10209.63 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.98%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.26% and 41.76% respectively.

Apollo Micro Systems has secured Arms Manufacture License from Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). The license authorises the company to manufacture, assemble, integrate, and proof-test the high-value strategic weapon systems and munitions. The license has been granted for two facilities of the company located in Hyderabad. With this license, the company moves from being a provider of embedded systems and subsystems to an end-to-end platform manufacturer of complete weapon systems including missiles, torpedoes, precision bombs, and next-generation loitering munitions.

The company has been granted the license for Arms of Caliber Above 12.7mm (Category I), involving manufacturing of Missiles, Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs), Torpedoes, Underwater Mines, Safety Arming Mechanism, Chaffs, Flares and Decoys. Also, the company has been granted the license for Arms of Caliber Above 12.7mm (Category II), involving Manufacturing of Aerial Bombs, Rockets, Loitering Munition.

Apollo Micro Systems offers custom built COTS (Commercially off-the shelf) solutions based on specific requirements to defence and space customers.
