Copper futures finish higher on hopes US-Iran peace talks restarting

Copper futures finished higher on Tuesday on hopes about the possibility of US-Iran peace talks restarting. As per a private report, negotiating teams from the US and Iran could return to Islamabad this week to resume talks to end the war. Also, a weaker dollar supported the prices of industrial metals.

Copper futures for May delivery rose $0.093 or 1.55% to settle at $6.0835 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up by 1.77% at $13,284.50 a ton.
