NTPC’s arm starts operation of 165 MW part capacity at Khavda-II Solar PV Project

The total installed capacity of NTPC group stands at 88,709 MW and commercial capacity at 87,629 MW

NTPC’s step-down subsidiary -- NTPC Renewable Energy has started commercial operation of the fourth part capacity of 165 MW out of 1200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project located in Gujarat on March 19, 2026. NTPC Renewable Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy, a subsidiary of the company. The current commercial capacity of NTPC Green Energy Group stands at 9562.68 MW. With the addition of this capacity, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Group will increase to 9727.68 MW.

With this, the total installed capacity of NTPC group stands at 88,709 MW and commercial capacity at 87,629 MW.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
