Coal India shines as its consolidated net profit rises 11% in Q4FY26

Consolidated total income of the company increased by 7.76% at Rs 51,617.75 crore for Q4FY26

Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 469.05, up by 16.15 points or 3.57% from its previous closing of Rs. 452.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 455.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 473.90 and Rs. 455.65 respectively. So far 1229357 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 475.95 on 13-Mar-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 368.55 on 28-Aug-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 473.90 and Rs. 427.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 290264.50 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.23% and 5.63% respectively.

Coal India has reported 75.74% jump as its net profit at Rs 5,533.67 crore for fourth quarter ended March 31, 2026 (Q4FY26) as compared to Rs 3,148.87 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 74.95% at Rs 6,242.46 crore for Q4FY26 as compared Rs 3,568.09 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 11.15% rise in its net profit at Rs 10,839.18 crore for Q4FY26 as compared to Rs 9751.64 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 7.76% at Rs 51,617.75 crore for Q4FY26 as compared Rs 47,900.71 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2026, the company has reported 10.86% rise in its net profit at Rs 18,863.93 crore as compared to Rs 17,016.56 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 12.57% at Rs 20,547.89 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 18,253.49 crore for year ended March 31, 2025.

For the year ended March 31, 2026, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported 12.42% fall in its net profit at Rs 31,094.29 crore as compared to Rs 35,505.78 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 0.57% at Rs 1,79,675.97 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 1,78,649.36 crore for year ended March 31, 2025.
