Indian Hotels Company has signed Taj in Guwahati, marking the debut of the iconic brand in the capital city. The development of a 250 key Taj hotel will entail a comprehensive renovation and repositioning of exiting 150 keys and addition of new inventory of 100 keys. Located in the heart of the city, the 250‑key Taj Guwahati will be housed in the expanded land parcel of over 9 acres. The urban retreat will offer guests a hospitality experience rooted in the spirit of Assam. 

The hotel will feature a selection of specialty restaurants, expansive banqueting and meeting facilities and the brand’s signature J Wellness Circle, catering to both business and leisure travellers.

With the addition of this hotel, the company will have 5 hotels in Guwahati, including 3 under development.
