Kitex Garments informs about clarification
Kitex Garments has clarified that the tariff hikes implemented by the United States of America are having a negative impact to Indian capital market specifically to export oriented companies including Kitex Garments. As the Company derives over 80% of its revenue from exports, primarily garments for infants and children, to the US market, these tariff changes are influencing trade dynamics. The latest news on US Supreme Court ruling striking down broad Trump-era tariffs imposed via executive orders, easing trade uncertainties for Indian textile exporters and has given a fillip to the export oriented companies including the Company on the expectation of a positive outcome. The Company is not aware of any other information that led to the movement in the volume of the shares of the Company. Also, the Company has in the past made timely disclosure under Regulation 30 of the Listing Regulations, and will continue to disseminate any price sensitive information to the Exchanges that may have bearing on the price/ volume of the shares which are traded on the Stock Exchanges for the information of the shareholders.
